Privacy Policy

Last updated: November 7, 2026

Cue (“Cue”, “we”, “us”) is a personal assistant that checks your classes, inbox and calendar and tells you, out loud, the few things that matter today. This policy explains what information Cue collects, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. Cue is available at taptocue.com.

1. Information we collect

Account information. When you create an account with email and password, or sign in with Google, we receive your email address and, if you use Google sign-in, the basic profile information Google shares with us (your name and profile picture).

Information from apps you connect. If you choose to connect an app such as Gmail, Google Calendar, Slack or Notion, Cue accesses the data in that app that is needed to give you your briefing, for example email subject lines and senders, calendar events, tasks, notes and messages. You decide which apps to connect, and you can disconnect them at any time. Cue only requests access to an app after you click to connect it.

Content you give Cue. This includes what you say to or type to Cue, your preferences, and reminders or items you ask Cue to remember.

Order information. If you buy Cue hardware or a plan through our store, our store provider (Shopify) collects your name, email, shipping address and payment details. We receive your name, email and order details. We do not receive or store your full card number.

Technical information. Like most services, we may receive basic technical data such as your browser type, device type and approximate usage information, used to keep the service running and secure.

2. How we use information

  • To provide Cue: to read the apps you connect, build your briefings, answer your questions, set reminders and take actions you ask for.
  • To operate your account, process orders, provide support and send service messages.
  • To keep Cue secure, prevent abuse and fix problems.
  • To improve Cue’s reliability and features.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your connected-app data for advertising.

3. Google user data

Cue’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Data we receive from Google (for example Gmail, Google Calendar and your basic profile) is used only to provide and improve the user-facing features you see in Cue. We do not sell it, we do not use it for advertising, and we do not allow humans to read it except where you ask us to for support, where it is necessary for security or to comply with the law, or where the data has been aggregated and anonymized.

4. AI processing

To create briefings and answer you, Cue sends the relevant text from your connected apps and your requests to an AI model provider (Google’s Gemini). That content is sent only to generate your response. We do not use your content to train our own models.

5. Who we share information with

We share information only with service providers that help us run Cue, and only as needed for them to perform their services:

  • Supabase — database and sign-in (stores your account and Cue data).
  • Nango — securely manages the connections between Cue and the apps you link (handles authorization tokens).
  • Google (Gemini) — AI processing described above.
  • Cloudflare — hosting and delivery of the Cue website and email routing.
  • Shopify — store, checkout and order processing.

We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect the rights, safety or security of our users or the public, or as part of a business transfer such as a merger or sale, in which case we will tell you.

6. Storage and security

Your information is stored with the providers above. We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect it, including encrypted connections and restricted access to our systems. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Retention and your choices

  • Disconnect apps. You can disconnect any connected app in Cue’s Connections settings. You can also revoke Cue’s access from within that app or your Google Account permissions page.
  • Access, correction and deletion. You can ask us to give you a copy of your data, correct it, or delete your account and associated data by emailing support@taptocue.com. We will respond within a reasonable time.
  • Retention. We keep your information while your account is active and for as long as needed to provide Cue, and then delete or anonymize it, except where we must keep it for legal, tax or security reasons.

8. Children

Cue is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the “Last updated” date above and, for material changes, notify you in Cue or by email.
